Founded in 2006, “The L” is West Virginia’s only Listening and Spoken Language program for deaf and hard-of-hearing children. What began as a service for a handful of preschoolers has become a center that provides speech and auditory therapy, audiology, public school partnerships, early intervention, Birth to Three services, education, training, and advocacy. The first graduates of The L are now in college.
